The Power in Every Day
Some days are a natural for invention — or reinvention. Mondays are the most common day to start an exercise program. January can become Dryuary, a chance to try going without alcohol for a month. (Okay, whatever.) I particularly like using my birthday as the day to launch a big project, because it’s a real deadline on the calendar and, sadly, hard to ignore.
But every new day is a chance to grab hold and make a small change. Maybe you can go without sugar today. Maybe you buy a journal that speaks to you and start writing down ideas. Maybe you can do one fun thing for yourself — something that makes you smile at the other end of the day when the sun goes back down. Something that says, yes, I lived today.
It’s a new day. What simple thing can you do today to make your life your own?
